The Boardr DIYTampa, FL
The Boardr, located in Tampa, FL is one of Floridas most prominent shops, and they are the guys behind The Boardr Am Contest, The Boardr Live Scoring System and The Boardr Global Rankings. They create and run skate events of all shapes and sizes and do a whole hell of a lot for skateboarding. After they threw some funds together through utilizing their bucket from #thebuildproject in their shop, they decided to build a new DIY under a bridge on a service road - but quickly got shut down by local law enforcement. But, they didn’t let that stop them!
After a quick run in with local police and a last minute location change, The Boardr boys decided to build a couple of features at a nearby empty foundation (a favorite among DIY builders). They built a rad parking block ledge that everyone could skate, and even painted it red like a slappy curb. After letting the concrete set and the paint dry, the crew came back a few days later to break it in! Fuck yeah guys!
