What a time to be alive…
West Oakland, just two blocks from where my ramp was for 12 years is a fun, positive space built by skaters for skaters. I get stoked every time I visit TownPark. The fact that the kids and locals now have a place they can call their own, a place they can skate and not have to worry about anything is fucking great. This past weekend a jam was organized in honor of Local Legend Karl Watson as well as a Pop-up shop for East Bay Skater / Hip Hop Artist Dave Steezy. It was a good day – I’m thankful as fuck to call this scene my home.. but it doesn?t mean its better than any of the countless other skate scenes where skaters are doing great shit worldwide – we?re all in it together. Keep Pushing.
