Skateboarding has always been deeply intertwined with creative expression. Here at the plant it’s no different everyone has a passion outside of skateboarding that keeps us all going. Jim has his punk rock collection that is always played at full blast, T.G. is an incredible musician, Mic-e has an art for using charm and force to get what he wants, and for our international sales rep Andrew Mecum it’s painting and printmaking. In addition to being a huge part of DLX for over 10 years now and providing a never ending stream of ideas, Andrew is also a very talented artist. His lifelong involvement in skateboarding continues to inspire and fuel his artistic expression to this day.
For all the shops out there, we know calls from your friendly DLX Sales reps are always the most anticipated and enjoyable, but sometimes you just gotta have some face to face time with the DLX staff. This week we decided to open up the DLX warehouse doors to all the bay area shops to get a peek inside the madness and raid all the newest Spring ‘12 DLX goods as soon as they hits the shelves. Thanks to all the shops that came out to join in and for continually being a huge part in everything we do.

Although the earthquake & tsunami that struck Japan were almost a a year ago now, the devastating impacts the disaster had on the country are still very prominent with hundreds of thousands of people still in need of relief efforts and help to rebuild for years still to come. Our very good friend CB from Heshdawgz in Japan took things into his own hands and got together with master lensman Joe Brook and 4sight on a very special relief deck that features Joe Brook’s Polaroid’s and personal messages from John Cardiel, Tony Trujillo, Dennis Busenitz, Brian Anderson and many more. Thank You CB for everything you do, not only in the Japanese skateboarding community, but in projects like this that go to help those truly in need. Read More »
