After hundreds of people took at stab at giving JT some new face Tattoos, the top 3 winners have been chosen….
Monday at 5 points skate shop all of Mike Anderson’s family and friends came out to celebrate him turning pro with a big BBQ party… here’s the video… Congratulations again Mike, it’s well deserved!
Photos up at Skateboarder and Thrasher.
Whenever a skate spot is destroyed, there is always a certain amount of angst and bitterness towards the powers that be, whether its a newly nobbed ledge, or a freshly bulldozed DIY park, it’s always easiest to assign the blame, give the authorities the standard fuck you and call it quits, but the truth is, in every fallen skate spot there lies an opportunity to move on, continue to explore and build a new one, it’s what keeps skateboarding going. When the Laupside crew found out their DIY spot had been bulldozed the day before their Skate Jam it didn’t stop em, they simply gathered their troops, contacted the local newspapers to let their voices be heard, and moved on to hold the jam elsewhere and got started in on plans for the next DIY spot. Laupside may be gone, but based on what we’ve seen from Laup and the crew it was only the beginning.
Thanks to everyone for letting us be involved… can’t wait to see what’s in store for Laupside 2
