thats CalStreets in Vancouver!!! they were the best shop ever.

I never actually went in there, cuz I lived in Winnipeg, but I used to buy through their mailorder all the time.
At first, my parents were all sketched about me sending my money to some random dudes in Van. I guess they weren't convinced yet, that skateboarding or its business men, were legit. I don't blame them either. The guys that ran our first local shop, CAL DAZE, were pretty shady.(I ended up making the Cal Daze demo team eventually, and I got to see how sketchy they really were. super sweat tims though.)
my Dad would go to Van. on business all the time. and he'd go into CalStreets to bring stuff back. he'd come back all "you gotta see this place! they have TEN of every board, 50 of each wheel, and your Vans shoes in EVERY size!" and the dudes that owned it were super nice and good, so Dad was stoked. I actually think my Dad changed his mind about skateboarding, just by going in there and talking with the owners.
I wsh CalStreets was still around.
