Although the earthquake & tsunami that struck Japan were almost a a year ago now, the devastating impacts the disaster had on the country are still very prominent with hundreds of thousands of people still in need of relief efforts and help to rebuild. Our very good Friend CB from Heshdawz took things into his own hands and  got together with master lensmen Joe Brook on a very special Japan Relief deck to continue to help those in need.

A big thank you goes out to PLA skateshop and everyone that came out to Omar Salazar’s Spitfire Wheel and Nike Shoe Launch party over the weekend, it was a great night, check out a couple photos of Omar and the crew.

Recently Crys Worley of A.skate and Peter Karvonen of Faith Skate supply invited Darin down to the Masters of Tattoo convention to help raise money for the A.skate foundation. Darin happily attended to hang out with James Hardy and the Faith crew and of course get a few more tattoos, after all it went towards a great cause.

January 12th was the 1 year mark since the devastating earthquake hit Haiti. Although a lot of progress has been made in the past year, the lasting effects are still unimaginable. Tyler Rullo, a skate from PA recently returned from a trip down to Haiti to help out and shared with us some of his experiences.

The A.skate Foundation is non profit that allows children with autism to be a part of our social world through skateboarding. They are looking for artists to donate artwork for their annual “1 in 91 Art Benefit”. If you’re an artist and want to be a part of a great cause, head over to the A.skate Foundation website. They are hosting a clinic in in San Clemente this Saturday, November 13th.
